This Privacy Policy explains how NoteSync ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our AI-assisted, multimodal note workspace.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, display name, workspace membership, and hashed password.
• Content: notes, tags, images, screenshots, attachments, transcripts, stream captures, and other materials you choose to store or process.
• AI processing data: prompts, summaries, extracted action items, image annotations, multimodal indexes, and processing metadata needed to provide AI features.
• Usage data: device type, operating system, browser, session events, and aggregate sync metrics used to operate the service.

How we use information

We use information to provide secure sync, multimodal search, AI summaries, image analysis, action-item extraction, account support, abuse prevention, and service reliability. We do not sell personal information.

AI features

AI features process selected workspace content, including text, images, screenshots, and stream captures, to generate summaries, tasks, annotations, and search results. Workspace administrators may control whether AI processing is available for their team. AI outputs may be inaccurate and should be reviewed before use.

Data retention

We retain account information while your account is active. Deleted notes and generated AI artifacts are removed from active systems within 30 days, subject to backup, security, and legal retention requirements.

Third-party services

We use infrastructure, storage, analytics, and AI processing providers to operate the service. These providers process data on our behalf under written agreements and are not permitted to use it for unrelated purposes.
